CENTRAL, S.C. – Sub-par shooting from the free throw line hands the Chowan Men's Basketball team a 79-77 loss to Southern Wesleyan in Conference Carolinas action on Saturday afternoon.

Chowan shot 60.0% (12-20) from the free throw line and 2-4 in the last two minutes, while Southern Wesleyan went 6-8 from the stripe.

Damerius Summers went a perfect 9-9 from the floor for 19 points in just 11 minutes of action.  Preston Le Gassick chipped in with 16 points, while RJ Wilson added a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds.

Daylan Askew collected seven assists and two steals to go with six points.
