MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan Men's Basketball team fended off the Vikings of Elizabeth City State in front of the home fans in an 86-78 victory in non-conference action on Thursday evening.

Preston Le Gassick paced the offense with a career-high 23 points to go with five rebounds, four assists, and two steals.

Aaron Ross swung the momentum with 10 points off the bench including back-to-back layups after defensive steals.  Ross posted 10 points in the contest.

Daylan Askew (15), Skyler Davies (13), RJ Wilson (12), and Ross (10) posted double-digit scoring outings.  Wilson had a team-high seven rebounds.

Chowan benefited from the line going 22-32 from the stripe including 19-25 in the second half.
