SALISBURY, N.C. – The Chowan Women's Basketball team dropped a tough non-conference road contest against nationally-ranked Catawba on Tuesday evening.

Chowan trailed 25-20 at the end of the opening frame after shooting 53.3%. The Hawks shot 16.7% in the second quarter to trail 45-27 at the intermission. Chowan finished the contest strong outscoring Catawba 23=14 in the fourth quarter.
Catawba used a 29-7 run over the second quarter and four minutes into the third quarter to take control of the contest.
Kaleah Boykin led the team with 14 points on 7-11 shooting. Boykin added five steals and four rebounds. Imani Hickman added 11 points, while Sydney Roberts chipped in with 10 points.
Desiree Askew added seven points, five rebounds, and five steals.
