ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. – Early shooting woes put the Chowan Women's Basketball team behind early as the Hawks were unable to make the rally late as Elizabeth City State picked up the win 65-58 in non-conference action on Tuesday evening.

Yasmine Brown led the attack with 10 points and four steals. Sydney Roberts and Imani Hickman collected nine points each.
Kaleah Boykin added seven points and 11 rebounds.
Chowan struggled from the floor in the first quarter shooting 17.6% (3-17). The Hawks trailed 32-19 at the half. Chowan outscored Elizabeth City State 39-33 in the second half.
