MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan Women's Basketball team battled against nationally-ranked Glenville State on Education Day in the Hawks' home opener on Wednesday afternoon.

Sydney Roberts posted a career-high 14 points and grabbed five rebounds to lead the team.  Imani Hickman collected 11 points with six rebounds and two blocks.

Daneesha Briggs added nine points going 3-3 from the floor.  Desiree Askew posted a team-high eight rebounds.

Chowan and Glenville State were even 36-36 in the second half.

Glenville State forced 43 turnovers in the contest with their full court press leading to 28 steals and 42 points.
