MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan Volleyball team grinded out a five-set victory over UNC Pembroke in Conference Carolinas action on Wednesday evening in the annual Dig Pink contest.

Diana Rodriguez became the sixth Chowan player to reach 1000 career digs, the first since 2017. Rodriguez achieved the milestone in just 51 career matches, making her the fastest in program history to 1000 career digs. Rodriguez finished with 33 digs.
Ellie Middleton posted a double-double with 14 kills and 16 digs, while Sydney Ginaitt notched a double-double with 40 assists and 12 digs.
Gigi Ratajesak collected 10 kills, while Ryan Nored added 14 kills. Kayleigh Lance tallied 3.5 blocks.
