KANSAS CITY, MO. – The United Soccer Coaches released the 2022 Men's Soccer Preseason Poll and Conference Carolinas' Chowan is ranked No. 14.  The Hawks wrapped up the 2021 regular season ranked No. 14 after their historic run.

The 2021 Conference Carolinas tournament champions, the Hawks finished the season 13-4-2 and defeated West Florida, 13-12, in penalty kicks in the NCAA Super Region II. It was the first NCAA postseason contest in program history for Chowan who went on to lose 1-0 to Nova Southeastern in the Sweet 16. 

The Hawks will begin their 2022 campaign on Thursday, Aug. 25 at 4 p.m. in a neutral site contest against Mars Hill at Lees-McRae in Banner Elk, N.C.
