KANSAS CITY, MO. - The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced the recipients of the 2021-22 NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards and NABC Honors Court, representing outstanding achievement in the classroom by collegiate men's basketball teams and student-athletes. 
 
Chowan contributed two student-athletes on the NABC Honors Court as Calvin Ahoume and Jaylen Dillard collected the honors.  The duo marks the first time since the 2018-19 season that Chowan has contributed to the honors.
 
The NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards recognize men's basketball programs that completed the 2021-22 academic year with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher while the NABC Honors Count includes junior, senior and graduate student-athletes who finished the 2021-22 academic year with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
