TIGERVILLE, S.C. – A slow start for the Chowan Women's Lacrosse team hindered the Hawks in a loss to North Greenville on the road in league action on Saturday afternoon.

Grace Taylor and Kyra Jones contributed two goals. Leia Cabradillia and Victoria Brown scored one goal each. Charity Brown added an assist.
Alexis Rountree posted three caused turnovers, while Naila Smith added four draw controls.
HOW IT HAPPENED
North Greenville opened the scoring with three straight goals before Kyra Jones put the Hawks on the board on a free position goal.
The Crusaders added two goals to lead 5-1 at the end of the opening frame.
Leia Cabradillia scored a goal to slow the Crusader run as NGU led 9-2 at the half.
Following a goal by NGU, Grace Taylor scored off an assist by Charity Brown before Victoria Brown scored on a free position attempt. Taylor scored a woman-up goal on a free position to cut the deficit in half, 10-5.
NGU scored four unanswered goals to lead 14-5 prior to Kyra Jones scoring an unassisted tally.
