GREENVILLE, S.C. – Conference Carolinas released their 2022 Men's Soccer All-Conference Honors as chosen by the league's head coaches on Tuesday afternoon.
Headlining the list is Harri Lovett, named Conference Carolinas Defensive Player of the Year. A senior from Wrexham, Wales, Lovett gave the Hawks their fourth consecutive Defensive Player of the Year honors after Toby Sims won the previous three awards. Not only did Lovett lead a strong Chowan defense, but he also was an asset for the Hawks on the offensive end where he led the league with nine assists in league play. For the season, Lovett topped Conference Carolinas with 10 assists in 14 games. He also added three goals for 16 points which tied for ninth in the league. Lovett was also named Conference Carolinas First Team for the third consecutive season.
Joining Lovett on the First Team is Tren Drexhage. Drexhage, a graduate student from Alphen aan den Rijn, Netherlands led the Hawks and the Conference Carolinas in goals with 10. Drexhage also added two assists on the season. The forward added a First Team selection after being selected to the Second Team last season.
Rounding out the selections is James Randall. The graduate student from London, England finished third on the team with five goals and two assists on the season. Randall made the jump from Third Team in 2021 to Second Team this season.
