MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan Men's Basketball team will make a trip to Florence to take on Francis Marion in Conference Carolinas action on Tuesday.  The women's game has been postponed.

MEN'S BASKETBALL HIGHLIGHTS

Chowan enters the contest with a 1-10 overall record and a 1-8 record in league play.  The Hawks has played six games decided by six or less points.

Jay Estime and Christian Koonce leads the team with 12.7 and 12.6 points per game respectively.  Koonce is coming off back-to-back 20+ point outings.  Marcus Elliott is averaging 11.0 points in his first three games of the season.

Chowan lost the first meeting with the Patriots on December 15 in Murfreesboro, 69-68.

FLANKING THE PATRIOTS

Francis Marion comes into the contest with a 4-6 overall record and a 2-6 mark in league play.  The Patriots are on a two game slide since defeating the Hawks.

Alex Cox and Jonah Pierce lead the team in scoring averaging 14.7 and 14.5 points respectively.  Pierce also leads the team with 8.4 rebounds.
