HAWKS HIGHLIGHTS
Chowan enters the contest with a 3-5 overall record and picked up two wins over the weekend at the Golden Eagle Invitational defeating Winston-Salem State and Indiana (Pa.).
Anixa Rosa-Martinez, this week's Conference Carolinas Player of the Week, paces the team with 72 kills posting double-digit kills in three of the last five matches. Rosa-Martinez also leads the team with 14 service aces. Hadley Prince is second with 13 aces.
Natalia Vega-Aponte leads the defense with 123 digs, while Anamarie Colon-Calero has 10.0 blocks on the year.
HARNESSING THE BRONCOS
Fayetteville State enters the contest with a 3-1 overall record after their trip to compete in the North Greenville tournament. The Broncos defeated Southern Wesleyan, Columbia International and UVa-Wise.
Kalee Vanderhorst paces the Broncos with 58 kills. Jasmine Jacinto leads the defense with 81 digs. The Broncos have 47.0 blocks as a team.
