CENTRAL, S.C. – The Chowan Baseball team picked up a series split against Southern Wesleyan as the Hawks suffered heartache in the series finale with a walk-off loss.

Shane Rademacher tossed a complete game in game three with four hits and six strikeouts.
Patrick Krack led the Hawks with three hits with a double and a RBI. Brock Cross picked up two RBI and was hit by a pitch twice.
Tyler West picked up two hits including his fourth home run of the season with a RBI. Tyler Jones and Ty Johnson added two hits each. Dallas Trevena added two RBI and a double on the afternoon.
Collin Riddick tossed three scoreless innings in game four allowing one hit.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Game Three: Chowan 5, Southern Wesleyan 1
Tyler West started the rally in the top of the first inning after drawing a walk on an 11 pitch at-bat. Joe Nelms posted a base hit before Dallas Trevena doubled home the pair to lead 2-0.
Hunter Kinion reached on an error in the fifth inning and moved to third on a base hit from Patrick Krack. Krack would swipe second and move to third on a wild pitch as Kinion scored on the wild pitch to lead 3-0.
Shane Rademacher had a no-hitter into the fifth inning until the first hit the Warriors recorded was a solo home run to cut the deficit to 3-1.
Trenton Lee singled to left field to start the seventh inning before a two-out double to deep center field by Patrick Krack extended the lead. Ty Johnson recorded a single up the middle to plate Krack to push the advantage to 5-1.
The Warriors picked up a hit in the seventh but a 6-4-3 double play ended any thoughts of a late rally.
Game Four: Chowan 5, Southern Wesleyan 8
Patrick Krack and Ethan Whelan picked up a hit in the first two innings of the contest.
Collin Riddick issued a walk and a base hit during the first two frames without allowing a runner past second base.
In the third inning, Trenton Lee drew a four pitch walk to start the inning and moved up to second on a passed ball and to third on a wild pitch. Lee would score on a Ty Johnson ground out before Tyler West hit a solo blast to left to lead 2-0. Patrick Krack extended the inning with a walk and moved to third on a failed pick-off attempt but would be left stranded.
Collin Riddick worked out of a self-induced jam in the bottom of the third inning as a lead-off walk moved around to third on a wild pitch and ground out. Riddick picked up a strikeout to end the threat.
Brock Cross started off the fourth inning by getting hit by a pitch. Ethan Whelan advanced Cross to second on a sac bunt. Justin Winslow doubled to left but a strong relay home erased Cross at the plate to end the threat.
The Warriors rallied in the bottom of the fourth inning with a lead-off walk and base hit. SWU would take a 3-2 lead with a three-run home run to left. The Hawks were able to get out of the inning without any further damage.
Tyler Jones picked up a one-out single in the sixth inning before Brock Cross would be hit by a pitch. A caught stealing and a strikeout would end the inning.
SWU manufactured a run in the sixth inning after a lead-off double. The Warriors used a sac bunt and a ground out to extend their lead to 4-2.
The Warriors looked to add to their lead in the seventh inning with a pair of walks before Brendan Grant pitched out of the jam with a double play.
In the top of the eighth, Dallas Trevena was hit by a pitch before Tyler Jones nearly hit it out with a double to left field. Brock Cross welcomed the new pitcher with a single up the middle to even the score on the two RBI base hit. Justin Winslow drew a full count walk before the pinch running, Hunter Kinion, came around to score on a failed pick-off attempt from second to lead 5-4.
Brendan Grant allowed a walk following two strong defensive plays by Trenton Lee at shortstop, but Grant picked up the strikeout to end the inning.
The Warriors would walk off the game with a grand slam to take the finale 8-5.
