TIGERVILLE, S.C. – The Chowan Baseball team dropped the final two games of the series against nationally-ranked North Greenville in Conference Carolinas action on Saturday afternoon.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORES
Trenton Lee and Tyler West paced the offense with two hits. Lee notched a double. Dallas Trevena, Justin Winslow, and Brock Cross picked up one hit each. Cross and Noah Cartwright recorded a RBI each.
Caleb Peterson took the loss in game three with six strikeouts. Ryan Gallaccio pitched five innings in the nightcap surrendering two runs in the opening inning before being unable to get out of the sixth.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Game Three: Chowan 2, North Greenville 9
North Greenville opened the scoring in the first inning with four runs on a home run and an error. The Crusaders tallied two more runs in the second inning on two hits and an error to lead 6-0.
NGU added three more runs in the fifth inning to lead 9-0.
Trenton Lee became the first base runner for the Hawks in the sixth inning drawing a two-out walk. Tyler West broke up the no-hitter in the top of the seventh with a single to right center. Patrick Krack drew a walk and Dallas Trevena loaded the bases with a single up the middle. Noah Cartwright hit a sacrifice fly to plate West. Noah Evington drew a walk to load the bases again before Brock Cross singled up the middle to close the gap to 9-2. The Hawks grounded into a double play to end the game.
Game Four: Chowan 0, North Greenville 8
Just like the first game, NGU scored in the first inning plating two runs for the early 2-0 lead.
Trenton Lee notched a double to lead off the third inning but was left stranded.
Tyler West led off the fourth with a single to left center. West would be thrown out at second after a fielder's choice.
Ryan Gallaccio pitched well until the sixth inning as the first three batters picked up hits to plate a run before a sacrifice fly chased Gallaccio from the game trailing 4-0.
NGU pushed their lead to 8-0 with four more runs after the pitching change.
Trenton Lee and Justin Winslow tallied a hit in the eighth inning but was left stranded in scoring position.

Chowan is scheduled to take on King in a four-game Conference Carolinas series on the road in Bristol, Tenn. on March 12-13. First pitch on Friday is slated for 12pm.
