TIGERVILLE, S.C. – After a rally in game one of the series, the Chowan Baseball team was shutout in game two against nationally-ranked North Greenville in Conference Carolinas action on Friday.

Noah Evington paced the Hawks with three hits including a triple and a RBI. Dallas Trevena and Noah Cartwright tallied two hits each. Trevena posted a home run and a double to go with three RBI. Tyler West notched a home run.
Jeffrey Hiner picked up two hits in the nightcap with a double.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Game One: Chowan 7, North Greenville 8
Patrick Krack tallied the first hit for the Hawks in the top of the first inning with two outs.
NGU notched two runs in the first inning and six in the second to lead 8-0.
Chowan was able to scratch across a run in the third as Tyler West reached on an error. Patrick Krack drew a walk before Noah Cartwright singled up the middle to plate West.
The Hawks rallied in the fifth inning as Tyler West launched a two-out solo home run to the opposite field. Patrick Krack was hit by a pitch and later scored on Dallas Trevena's double to left center to cut the deficit to 8-3.
The Crusaders looked to put some insurance runs on the board in the sixth inning with two on and one out. Reliever, Welinton Mariano pitched out of the jam with a double play comebacker to end the inning.
Chowan capitalized on the two errors in the inning by the Crusaders for a late rally. Patrick Krack reached on an error before Dallas Trevena sent a two-run home run over the wall in left center. Noah Cartwright extended the inning reaching on an error. Noah Evington tripled down the right field line before a RBI ground out by Brock Cross closed the gap to 8-7.
Game Two: Chowan 0, North Greenville 17
Tyler Jones led off the nightcap with a single to center field before being wiped away on a ground ball. Patrick Krack drew a two-out walk but was left stranded.
NGU posted two runs in the first inning with a two-out rally. The Crusaders tacked on three runs in the third inning with a home run in the inning.
The Crusaders exploded for 12 runs in the sixth inning to lead 17-0 on three home runs. NGU scored eight unearned runs with two outs.
Noah Evington and Ty Johnson posted base hits in the seventh inning but was left stranded.
In the ninth inning, Noah Evington singled and Jeffrey Hiner doubled to put two runners in scoring position but was unable to crack the scoreboard.
