MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan Baseball completed the series sweep against Mid-Atlantic Christian with a 15-7 victory on Monday afternoon.

Noah Evington led the charge at the plate with three hits including a double and three RBI. Dallas Trevena tallied three hits with two doubles, two RBI and two walks. Ty Johnson picked up three hits with two RBI, a double, and a walk.
The Hawks pounded out 17 hits including seven doubles.
On the hill, Chowan had seven pitchers see action as Slade Cowan picked up the win for the Hawks. Collin Riddick, Jarret Henderson and Jared Moore posted shutout innings. Brendon Grant tossed two innings with three strikeouts.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Mid-Atlantic Christian scored a run in the top of the first inning as a pair of walks led to an error allowing an unearned run to score. DeeJay Seelback pitched out of the jam with a double play.
The Hawks rallied in the bottom of the first inning as Tyler Jones doubled down the left field line and moved to third on a wild pitch. Noah Evington drew a walk and swiped second before Dallas Trevena drew a walk to load the bases. Noah Cartwright drew a walk to plate a run prior to a fielding error allowed two Hawks to score. A RBI groundout by Hunter Kinion pushed the lead to 4-1.
Ty Johnson continued the rally into the second inning leading off the inning with a walk and stole second. Noah Evington singled to center to plate Johnson. After a stolen base by Evington, Dallas Trevena doubled down the right field line to plate Evington to lead 6-1.
The Mustangs found their bats in the third inning posting five runs off six hits to even the score at 6-all.
Hunter Kinion drew a walk in the bottom of the third inning before Ty Johnson produced an infield single with two outs. Patrick Krack plated Kinion from second with a double to left field to regain the lead 7-6.
Chowan plated two more runs in the fourth inning as Dallas Trevena drew a walk and moved up to second on a passed ball. Trevena moved to third on a ground out before scoring on a wild pitch. Tyler West reached on an error and swiped second. Hunter Kinion and Justin Winslow reached on infield singles allowing West to score to push the advantage to 9-6.
MACU picked up a run in the sixth inning as a dropped fly ball allowed a lead-off walk come around to score.
The Hawks rallied in the sixth inning to increase their lead as Noah Cartwright led off the inning with a walk. Tyler West doubled to right center to plate Cartwright before Justin Winslow laid down a bunt single and stole second. Winslow and West would score on a Ty Johnson double down the line to lead 12-7. After a Tyler Jones walk, Noah Evington doubled home a pair before scoring on Dallas Trevena's single to right field to lead 15-7.
Chowan would load the bases in the seventh inning as Tyler West and Ty Johnson picked up base hits and Justin Winslow was hit by a pitch. The Hawks were unable to plate a run in the inning.
In the eighth, Chowan loaded the bases again with a double by Dallas Trevena, a single by Joe Nelms, and a walk by James Cottingham. The Mustangs pitched out of the jam to keep the score at 15-7.
