MEN'S BASKETBALL NOTES
The Hawks have a new look this season as head coach Rob Burke returns to his alma mater to take the reins of the program.  Chowan posted a 6-8 overall season in 2021 while appearing in the Conference Carolinas Semifinals.
Chowan welcomes nine newcomers to the program to pair with the seven returners.  Jaylen Dilliard returns as the leading scorer for the Hawks posting 14.0 points per game while shooting 57.7% from the floor and 50.0% from deep.  With his efforts last season, Dilliard was named Conference Carolinas Third Team.
HARNESSING THE BRONCOS
Fayetteville State has two games under their belt in 2021-2022 with a 1-1 record after opening the season with a win against Shepherd before falling to Mercyhurst over the weekend.
Dorian Dixon paces the Broncos with 17.0 points per game, while Jalen Seegars and Cress Worthy are in double-digits scoring.
