MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan Esports team went 4-0 last week picking up a pair of wins in Rocket League and Valorant.

ROCKET LEAGUE

Caleb Maher (Patty) posted seven goals and five saves.  Sullivan Prince (Princey98) added one goal with two assists and two saves.  Shane Price-Loyd finished with two assists.

Chowan started the week with a forfeit win against Queens in MCEA action before concluding the week with a 3-0 shutout victory against Buena Vista in ECAC action.

In the opening contest, Caleb Maher (Patty) collected the lone goal in the game off an assist from Sullivan Prince (Princey98).

The second game would stay close as Caleb Maher (Patty) scored the game-winner with 29 seconds left to take the game 3-2.

The Hawks would finish off the match with a 4-1 win as Caleb Maher (Patty) collected the hat-trick with four goals in the contest.  Shane Price-Loyd tallied two assists.

Chowan collected a forfeit win against Queens in MCEA action.

VALORANT ACTION

Bryce Shultz (dustee) led the Hawks with 45 kills and 18 assists, posting a pair of team-highs in the contest.  Dorian May (Astral) was right behind Shultz with 44 kills and eight assists.  Michael Bannister (TensaiFly) produced 31 kills and 14 assists, while Nathan Fisk (Arcturus) added 25 kills and seven assists.  Caleb Maher (Patty) finished with 24 kills and 11 assists.

Chowan and CSU Monterey Bay would battle close in the opening map as the Hawks held a 5-4 lead before the Hawks closed out the map 13-10 as Nathan Fisk (Arcturus) finished off the map victory with the kill.

On the second map, the Hawks would go down 2-0 early before dominating their way to a 13-5 map win.

Chowan collected a forfeit win against Queens in MCEA action.

UP NEXT

On Tuesday, Chowan will face Charlotte in MCEA Rocket League action at 7pm followed by taking on Roger Williams in Valorant action in ECAC at 8pm.

On Wednesday, the Rocket League team will face Randolph Macon at 8pm.

The Hawks conclude the week on Thursday with MCEA Valorant action against Lees-McRae at 6pm before facing UNC Greensboro in Rocket League and Valorant starting at 7pm.
