Chowan Valorant Goes 6-1, Stays Perfect In ECAC

MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan Esports program had a strong week of competition as the Valorant team went 6-1 on the week along with another trip to the Semifinals in the UGC Valorant Qualifier.

LEAGUE OF LEGENDS

In their lone match for the week, Chowan fell to Newberry 2-0.  The first match would conclude after 30:29 with the second match going 26:17.

Bricen Andreasen (BriceKrispys), Nathan Fisk (Arcturus), Logan Jeffrey (Lölo), Caleb Maher (Patty), and D'arie Rodgers (AwokenDre) compete for the Hawks.

VALORANT

Chowan opened the week with a pair of victories in UGC action against South Florida (13-3) and Charlotte (14-12).  Dorian May (Astral) led the Hawks with 22 kills in the win against USF.

The Hawks would then pick up the 2-1 victory against Sacramento State in ECAC action to stay perfect in league play.

In the UGC Valorant Qualifier 2, the Hawks made quick work of Binghamton and Missouri to advance to the semifinals for the second straight week.  Chowan battled with Kennesaw State in a back-and-forth match before falling 13-9.

Chowan cruised to a pair of 13-1 maps for the 2-0 victory against Cleary in AVGL action to close out the week. Ali Asri (Nae) led the Hawks on the first map with 17 kills, while Austin Ray (Town) tallied 19 kills on the second map.

UP NEXT

Chowan Valorant takes on Colgate and South Florida in UGC action on Monday followed by Ball State on Tuesday in ECAC action.  The Hawks are scheduled to compete in the UGC Qualifier 3 on Wednesday.

The Rocket League team is scheduled to take on Farmingdale State on Wednesday.  The League of Legends team competes on Saturday with their opponent to be determined later this week.
