MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan Esports program earned a win against SUNY Canton in Valorant action to highlight the week for the Hawks.

VALORANT ACTION

Bryce Shultz paced the squad with 59 kills and seven assists, while Dorian May (Astral) added 54 kills and 18 assists. Nathan Fisk (Arcturus) collected 34 kills and four assists.  Michael Bannister (TensaiFly) tallied 24 kills and 11 assists, while Caleb Maher (Patty) notched 10 kills and 18 assists on the week.

Chowan would drop the opening match of the week to Winthrop 13-3 after squaring up the map up at 3-all.  Dorian May (Astral) led the Hawks with 18 kills and five assists against the Eagles.  Michael Bannister (TensaiFly) added 11 kills and three assists.  Bryce Shultz recorded 10 kills and two assists.  Nathan Fisk (Arcturus) added seven kills, while Caleb Maher (Patty) posted two kills and five assists.

Chowan would go up 12-0 before SUNY Canton held off match point for two rounds as the Hawks took the opening map 12-2. Dorian May (Astral) led the Hawks with 25 kills and six assists.  Bryce Shultz (dustee) posted 24 kills and four assists.  Nathan Fisk (Arcturus) added nine kills and three assists.

On the second map, Chowan dominated to a tune of 13-1.  Bryce Shultz (dustee) posted 25 kills and one assist.  Nathan Fisk (Arcturus) notched 18 kills and one assist.  Dorian May (Astral) collected 11 kills and seven assists.

ROCKET LEAGUE

Caleb Maher (Patty) paced the team with nine goals, four assists, and 23 saves on the week.  Sullivan Prince (Princey98) collected five goals, two assists, and 20 saves.  Shane Price-Loyd (Ogsnowman71) had two goals, one assist and seven saves.

Chowan would go 0-3 this week in Rocket League.  The Hawks dropped the first match up of the week against Winthrop 3-0.  Caleb Maher (Patty) posted two goals, while Shane Price-Loyd (Ogsnowman71) added a goal and Sullivan Prince (Princey98) posted an assist.

The Hawks would fall 3-1 to UNC Wilmington in a close contest.  Sullivan Prince (Princey98) recorded a hat-trick in the lone 3-1 victory against the Seahawks.

Chowan kept the contest close before UL Lafayette pulled away late in a 3-0 loss.

UP NEXT

Chowan will take on Queens in MCEA Rocket League and Valorant action on Tuesday.  The Hawks will also face Cal State Monterey Bay in ECAC Valorant action on Tuesday.

The Rocket League team will conclude the week against Buena Vista on Wednesday before the team takes off for Fall Break.
