WOMEN'S SOCCER NOTES
Chowan enters on a two match win streak picking up two shutouts last week to move to 2-5-0 on the season and 2-2-0 in league play.
Sabrina Henderson, leads the Hawks with six goals (second in the league) and two assists on the season, was named Conference Carolinas Offensive Player of the Week. Carolina Lucci returned to the line-up last week and is second on the team with three goals and one assist.
Allison Traub, Conference Carolinas Defensive Player of the Week, along with the backline help of Ysa Novak, Madeline Bell, Brielle Dumont, and Kaitlyn Waterman have posted back-to-back shutouts.
HANDLING THE BOBCATS
Lees-McRae enters the weekend with a 6-2-0 overall record and a 3-1-0 mark in league play. The Bobcats are on a three match win streak posting three shutouts along the way.
Haley Lowman paces the team with four goals on the season, while Alexa Todd has scored three goals with all three being game-winners.
Mallory Roughton is allowing 0.96 goals per contest this season.
MEN'S SOCCER UPDATES
Chowan climbed back up to fourth in the region after posting a three match win streak together. The Hawks are 5-2-0 on the season and 3-1-0 in league play after a win against Emmanuel last weekend.
Toby Sims, Conference Carolinas Defensive Player of the Week, is tied for the lead in goals with six this season. Teammate, Harri Lovett, continues to pace the league with six assists.
Charlie Farrar is allowing 0.96 goals per contest this season.
