Hawks Men's Basketball Hosts Emmanuel

MURFREESBORO, N.C. - The Chowan Men's Basketball team hosts Emmanuel in a pair of Conference Carolinas contests on Friday and Saturday.  The first contest on Friday will tip-off at 5pm with a Saturday tip-off at 2pm.

NO SPECTATORS ARE PERMITTED INSIDE THE HAWKS ATHLETIC CENTER.

  • Last Game: Lost 82-65 to Mount Olive on Tuesday.  Hawks are on a two game losing streak.
  • Jaedon Willis paces the Hawks averaging 18.0 points per game.  Jonathan McFall is averaging 16.0 points per game and 4.8 rebounds per game.

  • Last Game: Defeated North Greenville 89-80 on Tuesday at home.  Lions are on a two game winning streak.
  • Emmanuel opened the season with a 64-61 win over Division I Stetson on the road.  The Lions are 3-4 this season on the road.
  • KJ Jones II leads the team with 21.8 points per game and 23.5 points per game in league play.

ABOUT THE CONFERENCE CAROLINAS

Conference Carolinas has a rich tradition in roots that dates back to its inception on Dec. 6, 1930. The NCAA Division II athletics conference presently has member schools located in Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. Member institutions for the upcoming 2020-21 athletic year are Barton, Belmont Abbey, Chowan, Converse, Emmanuel, Erskine, King, Lees-McRae, Mount Olive, North Greenville and Southern Wesleyan.

Conference Carolinas will feature 11 members in the 2020-21 academic year before expanding to 13 teams for the 2021-22 academic year with the addition of Francis Marion and UNC Pembroke.
