TIGERVILLE, S.C. – Lightning was unable to strike twice in Tigerville for the Hawks as another early run by North Greenville allowed the Crusaders to run past the Hawks 95-60 in Conference Carolinas action on Saturday afternoon.

Jaedon Willis led the Hawks with 22 points. Jamal Thomas chipped in with 11 points along with 10 points by Jonathan McFall.
North Greenville shot 55.9% from the floor and 52.4% from behind the arch.
HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half:
NGU opened up the scoring with an 8-0 run before Jonathan McFall knocked down a jumper to put the Hawks on the board over 2:30 minutes into the contest. The Crusaders continued their run with back-to-back three-pointers to lead 14-2 and force a Chowan timeout. Another triple and a pair from the line pushed the advantage to 19-2 just five minutes into the game.
Brandon Mayhan slowed the run with a pair from the stripe. Jaedon Willis offset the Crusader bucket with the old-fashioned three-point play. Elijah Hill finished off the three-point play along with another Willis bucket to cut into the deficit, 23-12.
Following a NGU bucket, Elijah Hill went 1-2 from the line before Jaedon Willis connected from deep to cut the deficit to single-digits, 25-16. Jamal Thomas hit a three-pointer before a quick 5-0 run by the Crusaders pushed their advantage back to double-figures, 30-19.
Jamal Thomas scored two buckets for the Hawks but NGU continued to maintain their double-digit advantage with five minutes remaining in the opening half. Jaedon Willis chipped in with a pair from the stripe along with a bucket by Xavier Young. NGU knocked down a three-pointer and a jumper before Willis added a layup.
Xavier Young picked up a pair from the stripe but NGU extended their lead to 52-32 before halftime.
Second Half:
The Crusaders opened up the half with an 11-2 run as Jaylen Dilliard scored the lone bucket for the Hawks as NGU pushed their lead to 63-34 at the first media timeout. Jonathan McFall posted a dunk in transition before Jaedon Willis scored a layup for a small run for the Hawks. Jamal Thomas knocked down a trey after a bucket by the Crusaders, 65-41.
Jonathan McFall went up-and-under for a layup but was countered by a NGU 9-2 run. Jaedon Willis knocked down a pair from the stripe during the offensive stall. McFall connected from the floor to slow the run. Jaylen Dilliard went 1-2 from the line and a jumper by McFall as NGU continued to push forward, 80-50.
Chowan picked up a couple points at the stripe before Jaedon Willis knocked down a three-pointer but couldn't cut into the deficit. Willis continued to score with a pair from the stripe.
Akeemis Williams connected from deep for the final bucket for the Hawks.
