GAFFNEY, S.C. – The Chowan Baseball team salvaged a split in the final two games of the Conference Carolinas series with Limestone on Saturday afternoon.

Patrick Krack led the Hawks going 3-5 at the plate.  Jeffrey Hiner, Jared Fry, Tyler Jones, Jack Kane, and Trenton Lee picked up two hits each.  Krack and Fry tallied a double each, while Lee posted a triple.
Ryan Gallaccio picked up the win tossing 5.2 innings allowing one unearned run on four hits and struck out six.  Shane Rademacher took a tough loss with six strikeouts.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Game Two: Chowan 2, Limestone 3
Chowan got on the scoreboard in the top of the first inning as Tyler Jones drew a lead-off walk.  Jones moved to second on a ground out and to third on a Jack Kane single.  Kane would swipe second before Jones and Kane moved up 90 feet on a wild pitch to lead 1-0.
Jeffrey Hiner posted a one-out walk in the second inning before scoring on Trenton Lee's triple down the right field line.  Tyler Jones and Noah Evington drew walks but a pair of strikeouts ended the inning.
The middle innings moved quickly until Limestone cut the deficit in half on two errors by the Hawks.
Limestone would pick up the walk-off victory in the bottom of the seventh with a two-out rally to score two runs for the 3-2 victory.
Game Three: Chowan 10, Limestone 5
Chowan looked to get on the board in the third inning with base hits by Dallas Trevena and Patrick Krack.  Preston Meyer bunted over Trevena and Krack with a sacrifice bunt.  A fielder's choice and a ground out ended the threat.
Limestone took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the inning on a hit and an error.
The Hawks would take the lead in the fourth inning as Tyler Jones had a single up the middle.  Jones would swipe second before coming around to score on Jared Fry's double.  Fry moved up to third on a fly ball and scored on a wild pitch to lead 2-1.
Chowan would push ahead with a four run frame in the seventh on three hits and three errors by the Saints.  Jared Fry singled to right and moved to second on the misplay.  Jeffrey Hiner singled to score Fry before a throwing error on the batted ball by Dallas Trevena allowed Hiner to score.  Patrick Krack doubled to left field to score Trevena before the pitching change.
Patrick Krack moved to third on a wild pitch and the attempted throw down sailed allowing Krack to score on the error and lead 6-1.
Tyler Jones drew a lead-off walk in the eighth inning and swiped second.  Jones moved to third on a fly ball before Jeffrey Hiner produced a RBI single to lead 7-1.
Limestone inched closer in the bottom of the eighth inning with two runs to trail 7-3.
Chowan picked up three runs on four hits and two errors to lead 10-3.  Patrick Krack started the inning with a single and moved to third on a stolen base and errant throw.  Trenton Lee singled up the middle to plate Krack.  A throwing error on a fielder's choice along with a wild pitch put Lee on third and Noah Evington at second.  Tyler Jones and Jack Kane picked up singles to plate Lee and Evington to extend their lead to 10-3.
The Saints scored two runs to cut the deficit in half as Chowan took the victory 10-5.
