MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan Men's Lacrosse used another dominating performance to take the 17-7 victory in non-conference play against Post on Saturday afternoon.

Austin Lee followed up his record breaking outing with a six goal performance. Jackson Downs scored four goals and added an assist.
Jaxon Martin tallied a hat-trick with three goals and three assists. Patrick Egan recorded six assists in the win.
Adam Howard went 15-21 at the face-off spot to pace the Hawks. Slater Bender picked up the win in cage with 10 saves.
HOW IT HAPPENED
First Quarter:
Post found the first tally of the contest, but Patrick Egan connected with Jackson Downs for the Hawks' first goal to even the contest at 1-all.
Jackson Downs gave the Hawks a 2-1 lead with 5:02 remaining in the period off an assist from Noah Holloway.
Second Quarter:
Jaxon Martin quickly gave the Hawks a 3-1 lead early in the second period after Deven Roberts found Martin for the tally. 40 seconds later, Noah Holloway found the back of the net off an assist from Patrick Egan.
Post cut the lead in half with a tally, before Jaxon Martin found the back of the net off an assist from Jackson Downs. Post scored two minutes later to trail 5-3.
Jackson Downs recorded his hat-trick goal late in the second quarter on an unassisted tally, 6-3.
Third Quarter:
The Hawks would increase their lead quickly in the period as Patrick Egan found Stanley Eugene for the tally. 25 seconds later, Austin Lee found the back of the net of a Deven Roberts assist to lead 8-3.
Austin Lee scored off a Patrick Egan dish to push the advantage to 9-3 with 5:24 remaining in the quarter.
Late in the period, Post found the back of the net but Austin Lee and Patrick Egan teamed up again to push the advantage to 10-4. The Eagles would find the back of the net again with under three minutes left in the period to cut the deficit in half.
Post continued to chip away at the deficit with another goal. Adam Howard ended the run of goals by the Eagles, scoring off a pass from Jaxon Martin.
Post closed the gap to 11-7 at the end of the period.
Fourth Quarter:
Austin Lee opened the scoring in the period off a pass from Jason Jenkins to push the advantage to 12-7 with 11:39 remaining. Midway through the final stanza, Jackson Downs found the back of the net on an assist from Noah Holloway.
Noah Holloway doubled up the Eagles with a goal to lead 14-7 as Jaxon Martin assisted on the play. Jaxon Martin continued the advantage with an unassisted goal. Patrick Egan found Austin Lee for a tally with 2:38 remaining to lead 16-7.
Austin Lee pushed the advantage to double-digits scoring off a Jaxon Martin assist for the final tally of the contest.
