BRISTOL, TENN. – The Chowan Men's Basketball team dropped their sixth game in a row after falling 103-84 to King in Conference Carolinas action on Saturday afternoon.

Four players registered double-figures led by Michael Kelly with a season-high 21 point on 10-13 shooting. Jaylen Dilliard scored 16 points, while BJ McLaurin added 14 points and Khalil Ridges scored 11 points.
BJ McLaurin and Michael Kelly hauled in eight rebounds each. Jamal Thomas scored eight points and added eight assists.
King shot 59.7% from the floor and hit 14 triples.
HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half:
Khalil Ridges knocked down a triple to start the game before King went on a 16-0 run to lead 18-3. Jaylen Dilliard converted from the floor to end the run. Tahkey Williams knocked down a triple before both teams struggled to find the basket.
Isaiah Lewis took the lid off the basket with a three-point play and Khalil Ridges connected from deep to cut the deficit to 19-14.
Michael Kelly scored the next seven points for the Hawks to cut the deficit to 23-21. BJ McLaurin converted from the stripe to even the score at 23-all. Kelly connected from the floor to keep pace with the Tornado.
King went on a 14-2 run to open the contest, 38-27. Jaylen Dilliard added a jumper during the spurt. Tahkey Williams picked up two points at the stripe before BJ McLaurin added a pair of layups.
The Tornado finished off the half with a 5-0 run to lead 45-33.
Second Half:
Jamal Thomas traded a triple with King to start the half before Jaylen Dilliard knocked down one of his own to cut the deficit back to single-digits, 48-39.
King would go on a 16-3 run to push the lead to 64-42. BJ McLaurin went 1-2 from the stripe and posted a dunk. Jaylen Dilliard slowed the attack with a three pointer. McLaurin added four more points as the Tornado lead continued to increase.
Michael Kelly scored the next eight points for the Hawks as King led 78-57 midway through the final half. Tahkey Williams connected from the floor and Jaylen Dilliard picked up a pair from the stripe.
Brandon Mayhan, Michael Kelly and Tahkey Williams added points as the deficit grew, 91-67.
Jaylen Dilliard added a bucket and Jamal Thomas picked up three points from the stripe. Michael Kelly posted a layup along with a basket by Khalil Ridges with 3:05 remaining, 95-76.
Jamal Thomas picked up a jumper along with a jumper by Jaylen Dilliard and a triple by Khalil Ridges to end the game.
