MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan Baseball team split the opening games of the series against Kutztown with a walk-off win in game two on Saturday afternoon in non-conference action.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORES
Noah Evington and Trenton Lee paced the Hawks with two hits on the afternoon.  Lee picked up two RBI.  Patrick Krack went 1-3 at the plate with three free passes including the walk-off walk.
Shane Rademacher (2-1) picked up the win in the nightcap tossing a complete game with seven strikeouts.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Game One: Chowan 2, Kutztown 12
Kutztown started the scoring in the top of the second inning as two singles started the rally.  A throwing error allowed two runs to score and a ground out allowed the third to score to lead 3-0.
Patrick Krack picked up the first hit for the Hawks with a single to right.  Krack would swipe second but would be left stranded.
Justin Winslow doubled to right center in the third and moved over to third base on a ground out.  Winslow would come around to score on a balk to close the gap to 3-1.
The Golden Bears plated five runs off four hits in the top of the fifth.  The inning would end as Krack helped throw out a runner trying to score at the plate.
Kutztown pushed their advantage to 12-1 in the sixth inning on two hits and two errors.
Noah Evington started a rally in the bottom of the seventh with a single.  Evington moved to third on a stolen base and a wild pitch.  Hunter Kinion delivered a sacrifice fly to plate the run.  Trenton Lee doubled but was left at second to end the game.
Game Two: Chowan 4, Kutztown 3
Travis Cross and Dallas Trevena drew walks to open the contest but were left stranded on the paths.
Kutztown opened the scoring in the top of the second with a sacrifice fly to lead 1-0.  Kutztown pushed across two more runs in the fourth inning to lead 3-0.
The Hawks would rally in the bottom of the sixth inning to even the score at 3-all.  Dallas Trevena reached on a fielder's choice as the first baseman failed to cover the bag and advanced to second.  Jack Kane reached on a walk and Patrick Krack was hit by a pitch to load the bases.  Trevena would score on a wild pitch.  Trenton Lee singled to left center to plate Kane and Krack.
Shane Rademacher had a quick inning in the seventh inning.
After the opening out of the inning, Tyler Jones singled to right center.  Dallas Trevena and Jack Kane were hit by pitches with two outs to load the bases.  Patrick Krack would walk-off the game with a walk for the 4-3 victory.
