For the holiday season, Chowan Athletics will "unwrap" one of the department's staff members every day leading up to Christmas Eve.  This segment will highlight what they are thankful for and how they make the holidays special.

What are you thankful for?

I'm thankful for close family and friends, my wife Ashley, my son Deklynn, and the opportunity to do what I love.

What makes Christmas special to you?

Christmas is special to me because I am able to create new memories with my family and truly see what brings me joy.

What are your favorite holiday traditions?

My favorite was to go to my grandparent's house on Christmas Eve and open presents with my cousins and sister.  I also set on my mantle a set of "snow people" that my grandmother made for me.

What is your favorite holiday movie?

How the Grinch Stole Christmas (Jim Carrey and Benedict Cumberbatch versions), The Santa Clause series, and Home Alone 1 & 2.

When do you start decorating for the holidays?

First week in December
