MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan Men's Lacrosse team was unable to keep pace with the nationally-ranked Limestone Saints in a 27-5 loss at home in Conference Carolinas action on Saturday afternoon.

Patrick Egan paced the Hawks with two goals and one assist. Austin Lee, Adam Ammar and Alex Clabaugh netted one goal each.
Noah Holloway and Alex Clabaugh recorded an assist on the afternoon.
Slater Bender stopped 11 shots.
Limestone dominated the face-off spot posting 33-35 victories.
HOW IT HAPPENED
First Quarter:
Limestone jumped out to an early 5-0 lead before Austin Lee recorded the first goal for the Hawks.
The Saints would push their lead to 12-1 after the opening 15 minutes of play scoring twice in the final 30 seconds of the quarter.
Second Quarter:
After a Limestone goal, Alex Clabaugh found Patrick Egan for the tally. The Saints added three more scores to lead 16-2.
Noah Holloway found Patrick Egan on the extra man opportunity before Limestone led 19-3 at the intermission.
Third Quarter:
Limestone would score twice early in the period before Alex Clabaugh found the back of the net.
The Saints would march out to a 27-4 advantage heading to the final stanza.
Fourth Quarter:
Patrick Egan found Adam Ammar for his first collegiate goal late in the period for the final tally.
Limestone would call off the attack in the period committing multiple shot clock violations.
