HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Chowan Men's Lacrosse team was dealt their first loss of the season at the hands of Coker on the road Wednesday afternoon.

Jaylen Pierre, Quintin Bender, and Alex Clabaugh tally two goals each in the loss.
Jacob Ferretta and CJ Orland notched one goal apiece.
Slater Bender recorded 18 saves in goal.
HOW IT HAPPENED
First Quarter:
Coker jumped out to an early two goal led before Quintin Bender scored the opening goal for the Hawks. The Cobras would add two more goals as Jaylen Pierre cut the deficit in half, 4-2, with a goal.
The Cobras finished off the quarter with five goals to lead 9-2.
Second Quarter:
Jaylen Pierre and Quintin Bender tallied their second goals of the contest to cut the deficit to 10-4.
Coker pushed the lead to 12-4 before Jacob Ferretta notched his first goal of the season.
The Cobras led 15-5 at the half.
Third Quarter:
The Cobras extended their lead to 18-5. CJ Orland and Alex Clabaugh net a goal each to close the gap to 18-7.
Alex Calbaugh tallied the final goal of the contest for the Hawks.
Coker led 20-8 heading to the fourth quarter.
Fourth Quarter:
The Cobras tallied five goals in the quarter and held the Hawks scoreless for the 25-8 win.
