HAWKS HIGHLIGHTS – Men's Basketball
Chowan dropped to 3-4 on the season after losing the fight against regionally ranked Belmont Abbey 86-76 on the road last week.
Ja'Darien Wade leads the Hawks with 18.4 points per game to add to his 6.7 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game. BJ McLaurin continues to clean up the glass with 13.1 rebounds per game. McLaurin has posted 15 rebounds in each of his last four games and has double-digit rebounding numbers in six of the seven games this season. McLaurin is leading the Conference Carolinas in rebounding while also averaging a double-double a night with 14.7 points per game.
Jaylen Dilliard (12.7) and Tahkey Williams (11.7) are in double-figure scoring for the Hawks.
OVERTHROWING THE ROYALS
Regent is still in search of their first win in program history going 0-19 so far since the 2018-19 season and are 0-6 this season.
Stanley Adjei leads the Royals with 13.5 points and 6.5 rebounds per game. Kamren Sherrod is averaging 9.0 points and 4.2 rebounds per game.
