HAWKS HIGHLIGHTS
Chowan started off the season with a 93-88 victory over West Virginia Tech at home last weekend.
Tahkey Wiliams leads the team after posting a double-double in the opener with 26 points and 10 rebounds. Ja'Darien Wade chipped in with 22 points, eight rebounds, and six assists.
Xavier Young and Brandon Mayhan tallied double-figures in the opener.
SLAYING THE MIGHTY VIKINGS
Elizabeth City State is 2-1 on the season and comes off back-to-back wins against Urbana and Barton.
Justin Faison leads the team averaging 20 points a night. Joseph Allen and Zaccheus Hobbs chip in with 15.3 points a night.
SERIES MEETINGS
Chowan leads the series 15-12 overall and winners of eight of the last 10 meetings. The Hawks took two of three last season but fell in the last meeting in Elizabeth City 84-76.
