HAWKS FILES – WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
Chowan dropped a close CIAA contest on Saturday against Bowie State, 47-45, at home to fall to 11-8 on the season and 7-3 in the CIAA.
Danielle Weldon continues to pace the offense with 12.8 points and 9.3 rebounds per game. Jada Lee and Mariah Coker chip in with 9.7 and 9.2 points per game respectively.
The Hawks sit at the top of the league averaging 17.2 offensive rebounds per game.
TAMING THE LIONS
Lincoln (Pa.) enters the contest with an 11-10 overall record and a 5-5 mark in the CIAA. The Lions are coming off a 76-40 loss to Virginia Union over the weekend to snap a four game win streak.
Kwanza Murray leads the team with 17.5 points per game in 11 games this season. DeAshia Young adds 14.1 points a night.
HAWKS HIGHLIGHTS– MEN'S BASKETBALL
Chowan dropped their first home game of the season in a 68-57 loss to Bowie State over the weekend to fall to 11-6 on the season and 4-5 in the CIAA.
Timothy Bing paces the starting five in double-digits with 17.3 points per game. Demetrius Sanders (15.4), Gus Rowland (14.9), and Michael Kelly (11.6) score in double-figures.
Gus Rowland is fourth in the NCAA in assists per game dishing out 7.6 assist a game.
CAGING THE LIONS
Lincoln (Pa.) comes into Murfreesboro with a 12-9 overall record and a 5-5 clip in the CIAA. The Lions are 2-7 on the road this season.
Cameron Campbell leads the team with 14.7 points, while Deaquan Williams adds 14.0 points and 9.7 rebounds a game. Campbell is shooting 45.0% from behind the arc this season.
