MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan Women's Lacrosse team enters the Conference Carolinas Women's Lacrosse Championship as the No. 5 seed and will travel to face North Greenville in the Quarterfinals on Wednesday.

HAWKS HIGHLIGHTS
Chowan finished the regular season with an 8-8 overall record and a 6-4 record in Conference Carolinas play to earn the No. 5 seed heading into the tournament.
Heather Orell and Alexandria Hammonds lead the Hawks with 38 goals this season. Orell leads the team in points (53) while Hammonds is second on the team with 44. Orell also leads the team in assists with 15. Tashana Barnett is third on the team with 31 goals this season.
Mallory Dunker is 6-1 on the season in her six starts this year. Dunker is allowing a shade over 10 goals allowed per contest and 7.99 goals allowed in Conference Carolinas action.
CRUSADERS NOTES
North Greenville enters the Championship with a 12-5 overall record and 7-3 mark in league action. The Crusaders finished the year 8-0 at home including a 14-2 win over the Hawks in March.
Rachel Kellogg leads the NGU squad with 58 goals on the season. Hanna Hawkins scored 46 goals to finish second on the team.
Sydney Taylor has received every decision in goal this year allowing 9.5 goals per contest.
