HAWKS HIGHLIGHTS
Chowan picked up their third straight win to improve to 7-8 on the season and 5-4 in Conference Carolinas action with a win over Lees-McRae last weekend. The Hawks sit in fifth place in the Conference Carolinas standings.
Heather Orell and Alexandria Hammonds lead the Hawks with 34 goals this season. Orell leads the team in points (49) while Hammonds is second on the team with 40. Orell also leads the team in assists with 15. Tashana Barnett is third on the team with 28 goals this season.
Mallory Dunker is 5-1 on the season in her six starts this year. Dunker is allowing a shade over 10 goals allowed per contest and 7.99 goals allowed in Conference Carolinas action.
LIONS NOTES
Emmanuel is 7-8 on the season and 4-4 in Conference Carolinas play this season. The Lions are coming off a win against Lees-McRae during the week.
Tara Larson and Megan Shortt lead the offense for the Lions scoring 62 and 53 goals respectively. The Lions average 13.69 goals per contest and allow 13.90 goals per contest.
