MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. – The Chowan Baseball team struggled to stop the high powered offense of Mount Olive on the road on Wednesday afternoon.

Robert Williams tallied two hits, both doubles, to pace the Hawks.
Mount Olive out-hit the Hawks 21-6 in the game.
Ricky McCleod tossed 4.2 innings in relief allowing one run off three hits.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Trojans got to starter, Will Edwards, early as the Hawks were down 3-0 after the third batter of the contest. The Trojans would extend their lead to 7-0 after the first inning.
Robert Williams picked up the first hit of the game for the Hawks with a double to left.
Mount Olive added a run in the bottom of the second with a solo home run.
In the top of the third, Trenton Lee started the inning with an infield single. Marquise Lanier reached on an error but would be left stranded.
UMO extended their lead to 12-0 in the bottom of the third inning with four runs on five hits in the inning.
Robert Williams picked up his second hit of the contest with a double to right center. Tyler Jones picked up a single but the Hawks failed to score.
The Trojans poured on the runs in the bottom of the fourth with nine runs on seven hits to push the deficit to 21-0. UMO added another run in the fifth.

Chowan wraps up their season on Saturday and Sunday in a four-game series against St. Augustine's. First pitch is at 12pm with senior day festivities occurring in between games.
