MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan Softball team travels to Salem, Va. to compete in the Salem Virginia Tournament on Friday-Sunday, March 9-11 for five contests.

HAWKS HIGHLIGHTS

Chowan is 7-7 on the season after going 3-1 at the Hawks Softball Classic to end the month of February.

Lindsey Stigler leads the Hawks at the plate with a .385 batting average and leads the team with 15 hits.  Kris Neal is second on the club with a .359 average and has 14 hits.  Brittany Parson leads the club with two home runs.  Beth Walker chips in with 11 RBI.

Shannon Buchanan is 4-3 this season in the circle with a 4.01 ERA.  Buchanan leads the team with 43.2 innings pitched.  Shelby Griffis is 3-4 in the circle this season.
