GAFFNEY, S.C. – The Chowan Men's Lacrosse team was unable to get the offense going against defending national champion, Limestone, in Conference Carolinas action on Sunday afternoon.

Nick Lavoy and Noah Holloway posted two goals apiece. Anthony Alfonoso and Alex Clabaugh tallied the other two goals.
DJ Walker recorded 16 saves in the loss.
HOW IT HAPPENED
First Quarter:
Limestone jumped out to an early 3-0 lead before Nick Lavoy found the back of the net off a pass from RJ Foster.
The Saints would keep the Hawks scoreless the remainder of the period to lead 9-1 after the opening 15 minutes.
Second Quarter:
Nick Lavoy would add another goal in the contest to cut into the deficit 9-2 off an assist from Anthony Alfonso.
Limestone would counter with two goals in the period to lead 11-2 at intermission.
Third Quarter:
The Saints dominated the third period with six goals to extend their advantage to 17-2.
Fourth Quarter:
Noah Holloway picked up the scoring for the Hawks in the fourth quarter finding the back of the net twice.
Anthony Alfonso scored to close the gap 18-5, midway through the final stanza. Alex Clabaugh posted the final tally of the contest with 20 seconds left to bring the score to 19-6.
