HAWKS HIGHLIGHTS

Chowan is 4-6 this season and is picked to secure a fourth CIAA title according to the preseason coaches poll released by the CIAA earlier this week.

Lindsey Stigler leads the Hawks at the plate with a .407 batting average.  Stigler produced her first home run of her career in the win over Mount Olive and earned CIAA Offensive Player of the Week honors this week.  Kris Neal is second on the club with a .400 average and leads the team in hits with 12.  Brittany Parson leads the club with two home runs and seven RBI.  Beth Walker chips in with seven RBI.

Shannon Buchanan and Shelby Griffis is 2-3 in the circle this season.  Buchanan has 16 strikeouts in 31.2 innings.  Griffis has a 3.76 ERA in 22.1 innings.
