BOWIE, MD. – The Chowan Volleyball team continued their CIAA Northern Division title shot with a 3-0 victory over Bowie State on Saturday afternoon.

Milica Vejnovic, Raven Finley-Flowers, and Courtney O'Keefe notched eight kills each in the win.
Micayla Pope registered a double-double with 24 assists and 11 digs. Pope tallied four service aces, while Meghan Mutter served up three.
HOW IT HAPPENED
First Set:
The opening set swapped points early until a block and kill by Breona Young pushed the Hawks ahead 11-8.
Courtney O'Keefe's two kills along with a kill by Raven Finley-Flowers and three straight service aces by Micayla Pope allowed the Hawks to extend their lead to 17-10.
Bowie State closed the gap to 17-13 before a 7-0 run by the Hawks pushed the set to 24-13.
Raven Finley-Flowers posted the final kill in the set to take the 25-17 victory.
Second Set:
Chowan led 4-2 early on a Raven Finley-Flowers kill and a Micayla Pope service ace.
Bowie State would hang around in the set until a 5-0 run by Chowan gave the Hawks an 18-12 advantage. BSU posted four errors in the spurt.
Two kills by Courtney O'Keefe and three by Milica Vejnovic took the set 25-15.
Third Set:
The Hawks led 7-2 early in the set as Breona Young posted three kills to spark the offense. Meghan Mutter and Raven Finley-Flowers jumped in on the attack to notch kills.
Bowie State clawed back into the set closing the gap to 8-6 and 11-8. Milica Vejnvoic tallied two kills to push the lead to 19-11.
With match point on the line, Bowie State closed the gap to 24-19 with four straight points before a kill by Breona Young finished off the match.
