Box Score 2 WEST CHESTER, PA - The Chowan University softball team suffered a doubleheader loss to West Chester University on Saturday afternoon. The Hawks lost with scores of 1-0 and 10-1 to move to 19-16 on the year. West Chester improved to 19-5 on the year after the wins.
The Rams scored an unearned run in the bottom of the 7th inning to beat the Hawks in game one. It was a pitcher's duel of a game with CU's
Kayla Robins getting 11 strikeouts and holding the Rams to three hits.

Kris Neal, and
Tina White collected a hit each in the 1-0 loss.
West Chester's bats came alive in the second game of the day as they rolled to a 10-1 win over the visiting Hawks.
Shannon Buchanan pitched the loss. She gave up 10 hits and eight runs, five of which were earned. Neal accounted for the Hawks lone run with a solo homerun in the 5th inning. She ended the game 2-2 at the plate with a double and a homerun.
Chowan will continue on their road trip with a doubleheader Sunday, March 26th, at the University of the Sciences.
