Box Score MISENHEIMER, NC - The Chowan University women's lacrosse team suffered a 20-5 Conference Carolinas loss to Pfeiffer University on Saturday night. The Hawks fell to 2-5 overall and 2-3 in league play after the match. The Falcons improved to 6-3 overall and remain undefeated in Conference Carolinas play at 4-0.
The Hawks got down 8-0 in the first period before getting a score on the board.
Tashana Barnett scored an unassisted goal at the 13:18 mark of the first period, answering an eight goal run by the Falcons.
Heather Orell scored back to back goals in under thirty seconds (9:15, 8:54) to cut the Falcon lead to 9-3. Pfeiffer wrapped up the first half with two more scores to take an 11-3 lead into the halftime break.
The Falcons went on to outscore the Hawks 9-2 in the second half to get the eventual 20-5 win. Orell and
Alexandria Hammonds added second half goals (18:24, 6:40) for Chowan.

Shaena Ravenell picked up 6 saves in goal.
The Falcons out shot the Hawks 37-15 in the match. Chowan won 14 draw controls and collected 13 ground balls.
Chowan will travel to Montreat College on Tuesday, March 21st in their next match. They will return home to host Belmont-Abbey on Saturday, March 25th.
