Box Score ELIZABETH CITY, NC - The Chowan University men's basketball program picked up their 16th win of the season after beating CIAA Northern Division rival, Elizabeth City State University, 79-65. The Hawks shot 53% from the field in route to the fourteen point win. Marco Haskins hit for a game-high 19 points on a 7-10 shooting performance. 

Chowan improved to 16-6 overall and 8-4 in league play after Saturday's win. The Vikings fall to 1-19 on the year and 1-11 in CIAA play. 

The Hawks were paced by Haskins with 19 points but got 16 points from senior guard Carlos Arroyo who hit for 16 points. Kevin Kuteyi scored 13 points and had three assists in the game. 

For ECSU, Elon Edwards scored a team-high 18 points. 

The Hawks will continue with the second swing of CIAA Northern Division play when Virginia State University comes to the Helms Center for a 7:30pm tip off on February 8th.
