Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 HARTSVILLE, SC  - The Chowan University softball team split a doubleheader with Coker College on Saturday, moving them to 3-7 on the year. Chowan's Kayla Robins threw a three-hit shut out to help propel the Hawks to a 3-0 first game win. Coker College bounced back to take the night cap 16-0. 

The Hawks took an early 3-0 lead in their second at-bat to get on top of the Cobras. CU's Kris Neal capped the inning off with a two-run triple. With a three run cushion to work with, Robins went to work on the mound. She struck out 12 Cobra batters in route to her third win of the season. The Hawks tallied five hits in the game, giving the Cobras their first loss of the season. 

Coker came back with a vengeance in game two, shutting the Hawks down offensively and posting 16 unanswered runs. The Hawks were held to four hits in the game while Coker pounded out 11 hits. Shannon Buchanan was credited with the loss after throwing 2.0 innings. She gave up four earned runs and struck out four Cobra batters. Audrey Hubbard threw the last two innings of the game, giving up five earned runs. 

Chowan fell to 3-7 after Saturday's twin bill while Coker moved to 5-1 on the year.
