MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan Women's Basketball Team participates in the Fayetteville State Broncos Thanksgiving Classic on Friday and Saturday, November 24-25. The Hawks will face St. Augustine's in the first contest followed by the host Broncos on Saturday. Both contests are non-conference games against familiar CIAA opponents.

Chowan fell to 4-1 on the young season after dropping their third road contest in four days falling to Catawba 75-72 on Monday.
Dhyamond Crenshaw leads the Hawks with 17.2 points per game. Chantel Roberts is not far behind after producing a career-high 27 points against Catawba now averaging 16.2 ppg. Roberts is tallying 7.2 boards per contest.
ABOUT THE FALCONS
St. Augustine's is 2-3 on the season and off to a hotter start as the Falcons notched only three wins all of last season.
The Falcons rank second in the CIAA in forced turnovers and at the top in steals averaging 15 a game. Kaaliya Williams leads the team with 15.0 points per contest.
ABOUT THE BRONCOS
Fayetteville State is 2-2 on the season and is coming off a home victory on Monday against Paine.
Jamesha Mosley leads the Broncos on both sides of the floor with 14.0 points and 6.5 rebounds per contest.
LAST MEETING
Chowan picked up two wins against St. Augustine's and Fayetteville State last season including playing in the FSU Broncos Thanksgiving Classic. The Hawks defeated the Broncos 66-61 before picking up the 103-51 win over the Falcons.
In CIAA play, Chowan won 70-61 (FSU) and 91-64 (SAU).
