HAWKS HIGHLIGHTS
Chowan rolled to their first victory of the season on Saturday defeating Piedmont International 92-47. Three Hawks: Tim Hewett (22), Gus Rowland (15) and Demetrius Sanders (14) notched double-figure scoring.
Trevis Buckhanon hauled in a career-high 13 rebounds in the victory. Gus Rowland was named CIAA Rookie of the Week. Head Coach Brett Vincent was named CIAA Coach of the Week.
The Hawks have several newcomers to the squad as: Tim Hewett, Trevis Buckhanon and Robert Grubbs are the lone returners this season.
ABOUT THE BUILDERS
The Apprentice School comes into the contest with a 0-1 record falling to Warren Wilson in a shootout 115-102.
Romello Anderson came off the bench for the Builders to score 29 points.
LAST MEETING
This will be the ninth overall meeting for the Hawks and Builders. Chowan leads the overall series 7-1. The Hawks defeated the Builders last season 92-77.
