Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 ELIZABETH CITY, NC - The Chowan University softball team improved to 19-12 on the season after beating divisional rival Elizabeth City State University in a CIAA doubleheader on Saturday afternoon. The Hawks remain perfect in CIAA play after today's twinbill wins. The Lady Vikings fall to 3-14 on the year and 0-5 in league play. The Hawks pounded out 25 hits over ten innings of play, including four home runs in the nightcap win. 

Kayla Robins(5-2) picked up the win for the Hawks on the mound in the first game. Robins gave up just two hits over five innings and struck out nine Elizabeth City State University batters. Tina White paced the Hawks offensively in game one after going 3-3 with three doubles and two runs batted in. Kennsey Epley drove in three runs after going 2-3 at the plate. Danielle Baccus and Kris Neal each added two hits for the Hawks in the 8-0 win. 

Tori Cragan drove in five runs in the 15-4 nightcap win. She ended game two 2-3 at the  plate with a grand slam. Haley Cooper also had a stellar game two at the plate. She went 4-4 with three runs scored and four runs batted in. Neal collected two hits and three RBI in the win. Delanie Winslow pitched the win in the nightcap. She threw three innings, giving up four runs and getting one strike out. Audrey Hubbard pitched the last two innings of the game for the save. She struck out two batters for her first save of the season. 

Chowan will travel to the University of Mount Olive on April 12th in their next outing. First pitch is slated for 3:00pm. They will return home on April 17th to host Virginia Union University at 1:00pm in a CIAA doubleheader.
