Box Score TIGERVILLE, SC- The Chowan University women's lacrosse team fell to North Greenville University 12-5 on Saturday afternoon.  The Hawks drop to 1-11 on the season with the setback while the Crusaders improve to 7-4 on the year with the win. 

Adriea Herndon paced the Hawks with three goals in the loss.  Jennifer Caird and Cindy Escobar each found the back of the net once for Chowan in the setback. 

Hanna Hawkins paced the Crusaders with six goals in the victory.  Emily Colson and Monica Colweell each scored two goals apiece with Natalie Dufresne and Taylor Hames each recorded one goal for North Greenville. 

The Crusaders opened the first half with three goals by three different players to grab an early lead.  Herndon put the Hawks on the board at the 2:16 mark but Hawkins scored for North Greensville with 14 seconds remaining in the half, leaving Chowan trailing 4-1 heading into the halftime break. 

Caird opened the second half with a goal on a free position shot to make the score 4-2.  Two scores by the Crusaders pushed North Greenville ahead 6-2 before Escobar found the back of the net with 22:48 left to play. 

North Greenville answered with four goals to pull away 10-3 in the final minutes of the contest.  Herndon found the back of the next twice for the Chowan Blue and White but the Crusaders tacked on two additional goals of their own to secure the 12-5 victory on their home field.

Haley Haggard made 10 saves in goal for Chowan while Sydney Taylor recorded 12 saves for North Greenville. 

The Hawks conclude a six-match road stand on April 6^th as Chowan travels to take on Southern Virginia University.   First draw is slated for 4:00pm.  Chowan concludes the 2016 season on April 13^th when the Hawks host Coker College for Senior Day.
