Box Score HARTSVILLE, SC- The Chowan University lacrosse team fell to Coker College 21-8 on Thursday evening.  The Hawks fall to 0-3 on the season with the setback while the Cobras improve to 3-2. 

Mackenzie Reid led the effort for the Hawks with three goals in the loss.  Kamile Smith and Charisse Wilcox each found the back of the net twice for the Chowan Blue and White while Adriea Herndon added a score in the setback. 

Claudia Kenkins and Shannon Jessop each tallied five goals for Coker while Mackenzie Baker and Danielle Holcomb notched four goals apiece.  Lindsay Ordemann found the back of the net twice for the Cobras while Maradeth Durden added a score in the victory.

The Hawks grabbed a quick 4-1 lead early in the first half after three goals by Reid and one by Smith.  Coker answered back with five unanswered goals to pull away 6-4.  Smith added a goal for Chowan before three goals by the Cobras left the Hawks trailing 9-5 heading into halftime.
 
Coker controlled the momentum in the second half, outscoring the Hawks 12-3 to secure the commanding 21-8 victory. 

The Hawks return to action on March 10^th when they host Nyack.  First draw is slated for 3:00pm.
