Box Score COLUMBIA, SC- The Chowan University lacrosse team fell to Columbia College 17-16 in overtime on Thursday evening.  The Hawks start their season 0-1 while the Fighting Koalas even their record to 1-1 on the year.

Mackenzie Reid had nine goals in the setback and was the lone Hawk to score in overtime. Adriea Herndon found the back of the net four times with three goals in the first half and one in the second.  Kamile Smith added two goals for the Blue and White, one in the first half and one in the second half while Cindy Escobar also scored for the Hawks in the loss. 

Despite a strong scoring effort by the Hawks, the Fighting Koalas held the advantage in draw controls and ground balls, allowing them to earn the win.
